Conference Theme:
The conference Learning, Innovation and the Use of Information
takes the need for lifelong learning as its point of departure. The
conference focuses on the tendency towards shorter and shorter product
life cycles and the pressure they create for developing new theories
and methods, processes and paradigms. In order to create new products
faster and better, development teams obviously have to either work
harder/faster or increase their abilities to create innovation. This
means that there is a learning curve in innovation. As candidates to an
extended degree will be required to engage in innovation processes in
their future jobs, institutions in higher education should adapt their
study programmes accordingly. Until now, the focus in teaching has been
centered on learning and information (the use of information). However,
this is changing towards an increased focus on innovation and on how we
can support students in developing their ability to use paradigms,
theories, methods, information and social skills in achieving goals.
How can we find out what the needs are in businesses and organizations,
and how can we support these needs in the best possible way when we
educate our students and prepare them for their future in complex and
knowledge intensive productions and jobs? What are the relations
between learning, innovation and the use of information.

Conference fee: 1200 Dkr. / 160 Euro

Register before: 1 March 2008
In case of cancellation a replacement can be sent. In case no replacement can be found then the conference fee can be refunded minus administration costs. No refund is available for cancellations made after March 24.
3 March 2008: The conference is fully booked. Should you, however, be interested in registering for the conference we will make a waiting list and contact you as soon as possible if there is an open seat. |
